NAIMC 2025 - Industry talk:
In this presentation, we will explore Saab's strategic approach to artificial intelligence (AI) and its integration into aerospace and defence systems. In the first part, we will look into some of the current trends in defense. We will then look at four pillars building up Saab's AI strategy and how it guides initiatives around the company.
In the second part, we will explore Project Beyond, where Saab and Helsing integrated a Beyond Visual Range (BVR) AI agent into a Gripen E fighter jet. The initial flight tests successfully demonstrated the AI's ability to autonomously execute complex manoeuvres and suggest fire commands to the pilot, highlighting Gripen E's capability for rapid software updates while maintaining safety standards.
